Entry & Exit Points
For those not arriving by air, Namibia's land borders offer straightforward entry. If crossing with a rental vehicle, be sure to notify your car-hire company beforehand, as they must provide the necessary documentation prior to departure.
Tourists entering with privately owned or foreign-registered rental vehicles are required to pay Cross Border Charges (CBC). A CBC certificate is issued upon each entry into Namibia. The applicable fees for all foreign-registered vehicles can be obtained from the Road Fund Administration.
