To the Community
Message to all Namibian residents and visitors
Fellow Namibians, as we celebrate the Festive Season, the Namibian Police Force extends warm greetings to every resident and visitor. This is a time of joy, family gatherings, and increased travel, and I call on all members of the public to priorities safety because it requires increased responsibility from all of us.
Road safety remains one of our biggest concerns during this period. With higher traffic volumes, tourist arrivals, and long-distance travel, I urge all road users to exercise caution, avoid speeding, fatigue, and drunk driving. Every life lost on our roads is one too many.
I also remind the public to remain vigilant against crime and avoid Housebreak-ins, robberies, and alcohol-related offences. Please safeguard your homes and valuables, avoid carrying large amounts of cash, and report suspicious activities immediately. Let us all stand firm against any form of abuse and ensure a peaceful holiday season.
I call for cooperation and respect when engaging with law-enforcement officers. Together, let us make this festive season safe, responsible, and memorable for all.
The Namibian Police Force wish you a joyful, peaceful, and blessed holiday season.
